Formerly a prison camp, the National Park was nicknamed The Alcatraz of Majorca<\/strong> by locals. Standing tall on the limestone cliff is the Cabrera Castle, built in the 14th century, which served as a prison for over 12000 soldiers. Boasting a wide variety of wildlife, such as the Balearic Lizard, you can explore the island by trekking, cycling or organised tours.<\/p>\n
