Anaheim
Fourty minutes from down town Los Angeles, Anaheim is the home, since 1955, of the original DisneylandResort. Smaller than its Florida counterpart but with a quaint charm it is well worth a visit.Experience your favourite rides, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Railway, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and of course the Pirates of the Caribbean, the ride that was the inspiration for the iconic films that followed.
The most popular park in the area, but other parks not to be missed include the Disney California Adventure Park next door, Knotts Berry Farm and Legoland California.
For the little ones, Anaheim has one of the largest aquariums in the world, Aquarium of the Pacific - with over 1000 species. The Discovery Science Museum has 120 hands on exhibits and Adventure City is an old fashioned theme park,with rides perfect for the younger members of the family, complete with a petting zoo.
