Carlisle Bay just 82 beautiful and contemporary suites each with breathtaking ocean views and each with many thoughtful extras. Spacious and luxurious there is crisp white bedlinen and a large day bed on the balcony or terrace and fresh water and fruit is delivered daily.
All suites have individually controlled air-conditioning and ceiling fans, minibar, overnight laundry service, 1 hour pressing service, dry cleaning service, hairdryers, safe and 24 hour room service.

Ottimo!
Our newest restaurant is an Italian beside the pool, open for lunch and dinner with tables spread out in the shade. From the authentic wood-burning pizza oven emerges classic dishes using the freshest of Italian ingredients. Salads, antipasti and homemade gelato make this a destination at the midday sunshine hour – and with a Little Ottimo! menu for children, is enduringly popular with families (an early children’s tea takes place here from 5pm to 6.30pm daily). Utterly relaxed, this is a place where you can wear what you want and graze slowly with a bottle of chilled rosé to hand.
Ottimo! is open daily from 11.30am to 3.30pm, and Tuesdays and Saturdays (depending on season and occupancy) from 7pm to 9.30pm.
Indigo on the Beach
Indigo on the Beach has a fabulous, informal setting on the beach overlooking the Caribbean Sea. With warm ocean breezes and gorgeous views, it is the ultimate way to relax. The dishes tend toward the fresh and healthy - grilled seafood, crisp salads, home-made breads and pastas. There is a beach bbq and live entertainment one evening every week. No fussy dress codes, open daily.
East
East is a strikingly designed, air conditioned space which offers an eclectic mix of Japanese, Thai, Indian and Vietnamese foods. Open daily for dinner only from 6.30pm – 10pm. Families with children under six years old who wish to eat at East should be seated between 6.30pm and 7.15pm and leave shortly after 8pm. No smoking restaurant, no fussy dress codes. Reservation essential.
The Jetty Grill
An adult’s only restaurant located adjacent to the beach. Grilled meats, fresh seafood and wines by the carafe are daily favorites at this casual venue overlooking the resort’s Jetty and Caribbean Sea.

Carlisle Bay is situated on the magnificent underdeveloped south coast of Antigua, set in a sweeping bay on a ravishing beach with a backdrop of rolling hills and lush tropical rainforest. The hotel is only thirty minutes drive from the airport and the tiny bustling capital of St. John’s, as well as only twenty minutes from Nelson’s Dockyard and English Harbour.
Known as the “gateway to the Caribbean”, Antigua is the hub for the Eastern Caribbean. As the largest of the Leeward Islands, the island is 108 square miles/280 square kilometres with a population of 64,000. The island has a stunning, rugged coastline, dotted with hidden bays, beautiful reefs and 365 white sand beaches. There are numerous historic sites on the island as well as a huge choice of fantastic sport and leisure activities.
What will the weather be like...
The Caribbean is warm all year round with varying degrees of rain and humidity to distinguish seasons. The hurricane season officially runs from 1st June to November 30th (usually peaking end August/September) and rainfall is highest between June and Novermber, with the most beautiful weather and high season from December to March.
Average temperatures are between 25 – 28 degrees year round with only the humidity and rain in the summer months effecting how hot it actually feels.
There are regional differences between the Islands; Antigua is one of the driest islands. The heat on all the islands is mostly counter balanced by cooling sea breezes.
Babysitting
$20 dollars per hour plus service & tax. There is also the sitters taxi fare if after 11.30 pm. Minimum age 3 months, minimum hours 3.
Creche & Children’s Club
The Cool Kids Club is a purpose built, air conditioned facility, with good indoor and outdoor space, and fully qualified staff.
Open Monday – Sunday 8.30 am to 12.30pm and 1.15 -4.15 pm. There is no charge for the over two’s. From 6– 23 months there is a charge of $20 dollars plus service plus tax per hour.
The Club is split as follows into the creche for ages 6 months- 3 years and Cool Kids Club for 4-6 years.
Older Children
Crew Blue is a club aimed specifically at 7 – 12 years olds. (Operates in school holidays in high season only). There is no charge for hotel based activities but outside excursions are charged. Typical examples are: stingray or turtle watching, pizza making.
Crush is a club for teenagers aged 13 – 19 years. (Operates in school holidays in high season only) As well as their own chill out zone with Wii, Wii U, table tennis, table football and pool the club organises a host of events from beach bar barbeque to adrenalin inducing activities such as wakeboarding, zip lining and tubing.
Lessons:
Tennis tuition: 5 x 30 minute sessions at US$30 per session
Swimming lessons: 5 x 30 minute sessions at US$45 per session
Baby/toddler equipment
Cots, sterilizers, kettle, microwave, baby monitor, dishwashing liquid, bottle warmers, baby bath, potty, nappy pail, (complimentary amenity kit with bath gel, shampoo, mosquito repellent and bib) can all be pre booked.
Nappies (pampers or huggies) can be ordered ahead of your stay. Some baby formulas are available, but not Aptamil
Dining:
Childrens menus and high chairs are available in plentiful supply in all restaurants. Fresh purees are available on request
Pool
There is a children’s pool in the kids club area, and shallow areas of the main pool.
Beach
There is a fabulous white sandy beach, with clear shallow waters ideal for children. Even complimentary buckets and spades are available!
First Aid
The nearest Doctors Clinic – St. John’s 30 mins, Pharmacy – Jolly Harbour 15 mins and Hospital - St. John’s 30 mins . There is a doctor who will visit the resort, on call 24 hours.
Beaches
Beautiful safe clean beach with buckets and spades provided. Lovely big pool. Small friendly hotel which catered equally for adults and children
