The crèche operates from the Kid’s Ark, a fantastic air conditioned purpose built play space, incorporating an outdoor play area & shallow pools. The space is well thought out, with quiet spaces, sleeping area for babies, a separate dining area where lunch can be prepared at an additional cost, as well as a large open area for the activities.

Set in its own corner of the resort, near the golf course, this area is comprised of numerous facilities for both younger and older children, safely separated into a variety of play areas and amusement corners. The ball games court is a special soft surface, with futsal goalposts and a basketball rim. Beside it is the covered tabletop play area, protected under an extensive wooden pergola, while adjacent a water park is located, comprised of two shallow swimming pools -a 40-cmt deep one for the little ones, and a 1-mtr deep one for the older ones- with two large water slides descending from a height of 3 mtrs. Alongside these facilities is an olive grove with slides, ramps, swings, and a trampoline for children to play under supervision.

The area around Porto Elounda...
Elounda is a beautiful area – quiet yet with villages and towns on your doorstep. Elounda town itself is a couple of minutes away and has its main square as the hub, lined with shops and tavernas and looking out onto the little harbour.
From here you can take a boat trip to the famous Spinalonga Island, a fortress and former Leper colony famed in the book ‘Small Island’.
Just 12km away you can explore the bustling streets of Aghios Nikolaos.
Crete has numerous archaeological sites too with Knossos being well worth a visit – the myth of the lair of the Minotaur will keep the children entertained!
What will the weather be like in Crete...
Crete is the most southerly of the Greek Islands and therefore on average is warmer and there is less chance of rain than more northerly Greek destinations.
June – September inclusive expect long sunny day with 10 -13 hours sunshine, virtually no rainfall and daily average highs of 26-29 degrees and warm nights rarely dropping below 20 degrees. There is a chance of a mini heatwave with temperatures well over 30 degrees mostly in July or August.
May and October remain sunny with 6 – 8 hours of sunshine, with on average 3-4 days that have some rain in the month (much less likely than Northern Greece) and temperatures consistently in the mid 20’s. The sea should be lovely and warm in October too.
