Beach
The coastline is vast but naturally rocky. The hotel has created a 400m sandy section but it is not really possible to make sandcastles. Entry to the sea is pebbly and jelly shoes might be useful. There is however, a fantastic floating pier/platform to avoid the pebbles and offers excellent fun for kids jumping into the sea!

Valley of the Temples are Agrigento are approx 40 minutes drive away.
The hotel can arrange wine tours, wine tasting or a wine experience with lunch at at local family vineyard.

What will the weather be like...
Sicily has a wonderful Mediterranean climate - being far South it really enjoys a longer season than many destinations and certainly has the most hours of sunshine and the least number of rainy days compared to any other Italian destination.
The summer heat is moderated to an average of 30 degrees celcius by the sea in the peak summer months with warm nights averaging 20 degrees. The days are long and sunny with 10 hours sunshine per dayand virtually no rain.
Spring tends to be marginally more reliable than Autumn. April averages 7 hours of sunshine per day and 20 degrees, May 8 hours and 24 degrees whereas October and November both have an average of 6 hours per day and tempertures of 25 and 21 degrees respectively.
