First Aid:
There is a doctor on call at the resort 24hours a day. There is a pharmacy approximately 5 km outside the resort .The nearest hospital is located in Polygiros town, 30 km from the resort and there is a Health centre 5 km from the hotel.
The area around Ikos Oceania...
From the beachfront you can walk in to the Greek town of Nea Moudania where you can enjoy a selection of Greek Tavernas, open-air markets, cafes and the natural harbour.
There are also shops, you’ll find all sorts of goodies from furs, jewelry and designer labels to sportswear and toys for the children. The hotel has negotiated some good discounts upon showing your hotel card.
The Ikos Oceania is also ideally located to explore the beautiful Halkidiki region and surrounding areas. From wine-tasting, bird watching tours, exploring local villages or Thessaloniki itself there is plenty to do if you can drag yourself away!
Weather in Halkidiki
Halkidiki in Northern Greece has a fabulous summer climate with hours of sunshine yet often a few degrees cooler and a slightly higher chance of rain that in the Southern Islands, especially in Spring and Autumn.
June – September inclusive expect long sunny day with 8-12 hours sunshine, a rare rainy day and daily average highs of 25-28 degrees. Nights are warm in July and August rarely dropping below 20 degrees.
May and October can be unpredictable although on average there are 8 hours of sunshine a day in May and 6 in October, with on average 8-10 days that have some rain in each month and temperatures consistently in the mid 20’s. The sea should be lovely and warm in October.
