The Aphrodite Hills Tennis centre has teamed up with the Annabel Croft tennis Academy and the results are excellent.
Don't panic you don't have to be brilliant at tennis either. The philosophy is that the whole family should enjoy tennis, have sound technique and understanding of the game and are inspired to keep playing tennis for many years to come.
I was dragged along by my teenage daughter who can actually play a match although we have never gone in for all the LTA rankings, she just wanted to brush up on her skills. The Easter Holidays were the perfect time too as it is warm but not scorching!
There are courses, fun games and matches for children aged 4 to adults offering a perfect opportunity for a fun family holiday for parents and children alike. It really was that too - often we have been on holiday to hotels where the tennis courts are empty or have a rather superior atmosphere but not here. It was buzzing from early morning to evening.
We were initially disappointed that the courses were full - well it was the Easter school holidays so we should have booked in advance. You can stay at any of the Aphrodite accommodation from the Intercontinental Aphrodite Hills Hotel to the self catering apartments and just add on the tennis package - I have put all the pre-bookable programmes below.
We booked a few private lessons to share and then signed up for the evening activities, the usual 'rusty rackets', friendly doubles and we were made to feel very welcome - there was a huge range of abilities but everyone seemed to find their group, assisted by the coaches! There were lots of excited children too with tournaments and new friends galore.
My husband and son joined in on an occasion - nothing was a problem.
We will definitely be heading back next Easter - it was the perfect balance of activity and chilling for us all!

“Junior Slam” Coaching Package:
Our most intensive coaching package for junior players aged 10 yrs+, this course covers all aspects of the game with 4 hours of coaching per day. At the end of the course, players are encouraged to test their skills in our junior tournament with some great prizes for the winners and a place on our honours board up for grabs! All standards welcome.

“Mini Slam” Coaching Package:
Aimed at our younger players aged 4-9yrs, our mini courses are great way to learn the game of tennis in a fun coaching environment. Courses are offered every morning with groups for beginners to intermediate players. At the end of the week there is a fun competition for everyone to take start their competitive journey.
5 Day Package Price:
4-6 yrs (1 hour sessions) €125
7-9yrs (1.5 hours sessions) €175

“One to one” Daily Coaching Course:

Challenge yourself to the ultimate training package over 5 days! 5 hours of coaching per day focusing on drill based training in the morning and match play in the afternoon. This course is guaranteed to knock both you and your game into shape.

Daily Rate: €112.50 (minimum of 2 day booking, excludes court hire)
Tennis Holiday Coaching Package:
If you are looking to combine your tennis coaching with other activities at Aphrodite Hills or simply want to work hard in the morning and then relax in the afternoon, then this is the perfect course. 2.5 hours of coaching over 5 days with your choice of an additional private lesson to work on your technique or 2 sessions with the ball machine.
5 Day Package Price: €395 (court hire included)
Daily Rate: €85 (minimum of 2 days for each booking)
Tennis and Spa Coaching Package:
Invigorate your body on the courts and then relax your mind off court at Aphrodite Hills award winning “The Retreat” spa. Based over 3 days, this total well being package includes 2.5 hours of tennis coaching, 2 luxury spa treatments and a personal training or yoga session in the spa gymnasium.
3 Day Package Price: €445.00. (no daily rates available for this package)
One 2 One Coaching Course:
Designed for players who prefer individual lessons, this course features 5 x 1 hour sessions with one of teaching professionals who will help develop your technical skills with the aid of video analysis. Once you have learnt your new skills, you can get some extra practice with 2 hours of court time with our ball machine.
Package Price: €325.00.
Adult and Junior Private coaching
Individual lesson on hard court: €60 per hour, €45 per 45 mins for under 12's
Individual lesson on clay court: €65 per hour
Shared lesson (2 players, per player): €40 per hour, €30 per hour for under 12's
Individual lesson with Video analysis: €90 per 1.5 hours, €55 per hour for under 12's
Court hire and other services
Weekly tennis pass: 12 hours court hire per day, entry into 2 tournaments or social events: €200
Court Hire per hour: Clay €25, hard €20
Ball machine (1 hour including court hire): €35 clay, €28 hard
