Family Holiday Tips, Tips

Many of our customers book their holidays based on child care services, so here at Family Holidays Company we pride ourselves on ensuring the resorts we offer have the highest standard of care whilst providing heaps of fun for the little ones.

Kid’s Clubs allow parents to have some well-deserved peace whilst children can have lots of fun and meet new friends. However, we are fully aware leaving your children at a Kid’s Club can be quite daunting, especially if it’s the first time, so we have compiled a list of tips to hopefully ease the process.

Research the kid’s club

Before travelling or even booking, find out what programs the kid’s club offers. Our family holiday designers have visited almost all of the hotels on our site and are fountains of knowledge when it comes to family facilities. A lot of the information about the clubs are on the resort webpage but if you want any more details, don’t hesitate to contact our team.

Visit the kid’s club before

Don’t use the kid’s club on the first day you arrive, use this day to suss things out. Most clubs will allow parents to visit with their children and see what goes on day to day. Get talking with the staff members, you are more than entitled to ask about their qualifications and how they run the club. If you don’t feel comfortable with leaving your children there, trust you instinct! However, we are extremely particular with the hotels we recommend and believe all their kid’s clubs offer fantastic standard of service.

Drop off

If you decide to use the kid’s club whilst on holiday, the first day of drop off can be quite worrying. Firstly, you need to have a positive attitude as little ones can easily pick up if there is something wrong. There may be some tears or tantrums but try not to give in, be positive and firm, as they will be having bundles of fun in no time. Some children love the idea of independence and will immediately get stuck in, either way they will be extremely excited to see you a few hours later.
