May is when the weather in the Med transitions from spring to summer, so those looking for cooler temperatures should travel at the beginning of the month. For guaranteed sunshine, head to one of the Med’s many stunning islands – for lazy days relaxing on the beach or exploring the picturesque towns and resorts that line the shore.
