The area around the Madinat Jumeirah...
The city is a shopper's paradise with international luxury brands in modern malls alongside ancient spice markets and gold or carpet souks. As well as the Madinat's very own Souk, for shopping aficionados the Ibn Battuta mile long shopping mall offers a selection of over 200 retail outlets, 21 cinemas, and the UAE's first IMAX theatre. Another superlative in shop-till-you-drop experiences are the Mall of the Emirates and the Dubai Mall - the largest shopping mall outside of North America - which also includes an indoor ski slope.
The Dubai Marina is impressive! Luxury yachts, fishing boats, and leisure craft whilst the Dubai International Marine Club, located on the resort grounds, is the prime water sports destination in the region. The Club is home to the world-famous Victory Powerboating Team and plays host to international maritime events including the UIM championships, Laser and Hobie-cat sailing, and kite-surfing challenges.
World-class golf courses are close to the hotel, take an adventure across the desert, ride a camel or enjoy the famous Wild Wadi Waterpark.
Nightlife and entertainment options are legendary, from award-winning restaurants to sophisticated nightclubs, cafes, and bars. Take a breathtaking desert tour, relax in a spa, enjoy a game of golf, explore the splendors of the mountains, or just simply relax. A world of choices in one thrilling destination.
What will the weather be like...
Plan carefully when you go to Dubai as temperatures go soaring in summer and from May to September the heat can get unbearable. You can expect a daily average of 34 degrees in May to 39 in July and August with the night time never dipping below 20 degrees Celcius. That said the hotels can still be busy so as long as you are prepared everything will be open!
Easter and October are popular times to go - it will be hot - low 30's during the day with plenty of sunshine and almost certainly no rainfall.
Our winter is when it really comes into its own and from November to March the weather is pleasant and the city comes to life. Temperatures are usually mid 20's (hotter in November and March) with pleasant evenings. It is possible that there can be a couple of cooler days with some rainfall in any of these months (mostly in January) or unseasonally hot days.
