If you’re thinking about taking your family away for a luxury holiday of a lifetime, April is the perfect time. With the Easter holidays generally falling in its first few weeks, why not escape those April showers and jet off for some sun, sea and sand?

For those with babies and toddlers, the weeks after Easter are ideal for getting away for a little peace and serenity. With resorts suddenly quiet after the Easter rush, you can indulge your senses, kick back and relax, without having to compete for the best spot by the pool.

Where to go

I love getting the whole family together, and after a long school term it’s time to treat the kids to something a bit special. This is also a great month for exploring – whether it’s an exotic location or a theme park, there are some real treats available.

What better way to indulge your kids after some hard months at school.

In April it’s easy to find a temperature to fit every temperament. Sun worshippers can head to the Middle East for some scorching desert heat, while those who prefer things a little milder can bask in the gently warming sun of the Mediterranean.

This is also a great month to get active with the kids. Though temperatures are starting to climb across the Med, Cyprusis still cool enough for sporting holidays, with temperatures averaging in the early 20s on the centigrade scale. Whether you’re raising the next tennis pro, or want to give your kids the chance to let off some excess energy, April is perfect for an activity holiday.

Older children will also love the hair-raising rides and rollercoasters and won’t be able to resist having their photo taken with Mickey. Whether it’s a Disney hotel or one of the many other resorts within reach, we’ll be able to advise you on where best to stay.
