Halkidiki, a relatively undiscovered part of Greece that has so far escaped major development is a 3-pronged peninsula jutting out from Mainland Greece into the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. I went to review the best child friendly hotels on offer for a truly luxurious family beach holiday in Halkidiki.
TheSani Resortis perhaps the best known 5 star resort for families offering the exclusive Sani Asterias Suites, the stylish all-suite Port Sani Village, the stunning Sani Beach Club and the conveniently located Sani Beach Hotel which all share the most picturesque long sandy beach, superb facilities and excellent dining for parents and children. A Small Luxury Hotel of the World, theEagles Palaceis on the third peninsula of Halkidiki so you do have a longer transfer but it is worth it. A family run Luxury Hotel, Eagles Palace is a sophisticated hotel combining great service and a stunning location with a gorgeous sandy beach where children can safely play. The Spa is well worth a visit too. Just 4km from the pretty village of Ouranopolis it is easy to get out and explore if you can drag yourself away! There is a kid's Club from 4 years.

Oceania Clubwas my last port of call and completely different. Shorter transfer, all-inclusive, lots of activities and good clean accommodation. I can thoroughly recommend it if your family want to have fun on holiday on a lovely beach and keep to a budget. Much as I absolutely loved the other hotels you can pay an awful lot for exclusivity. The Oceania Club is a quality 4-star standard (it is officially 5 star but I can't put it in the same league as the others), extremely well-run and has a kids' club from 4 years. Great quality, excellent value family holiday.
