On the shores surrounded by fine white sand, Zilwa has access to two very small islands, inviting families to take an adventure trip for lunch on the island enjoying a delicious barbecue. The islands being a few meters across the sea proves to be very exciting for children as they transported across by the staff on a boat. 

Families can discover the range of restaurants all offering tasty dishes and a children's menu if necessary, ensuring stress-free dining throughout your holiday. As the sun goes down, have some time out of the sofas and bean bags with sand between your toes and enjoy the serenity of the magnificent night.

The Mini Club is open daily from 9.00am-9.00pm for children aged between 3 and 12 years old. Your little ones will be entertained, have fun and get creative. The club offers a wide range of activities, supervised by experienced and caring staff, including treaures hunts, arts and crafts, glass bottom boat trips and so much more.

Karay

Offering beautiful views of the lagoon, Karay is the main restaurant at Zilwa. Breakfast consists of a buffet serving fresh pastries as well as Mauritian delicacies. Dinner includes various buffets with a different theme every evening.

At dinner time shorts are not accepted at the restaurant. 

Grand Zil

Have an adventure as a family and have lunch barefoot on the beach and tuck into a delicious barbecue.

Siaw

The chef, 'a wok specialist' serves up delicious chinese food whilst creating a wonderful show experience with the flaming woks.

Dinner 7.30-10.30pm. Closed Sunday

Taba J

The rustic snack bar offering Mauritian pancakes and other traditional snack. However, panini and sandwiches lovers wont be disappointed. 

Lunch 12.00-3.30pm, Tea 3.30-6.00pm

Kid's Club

The Mini Club is open daily from 9.00am-9.00pm for children aged between 3 and 12 years old. Your little ones will be entertained, have fun and get creative. The club offers a wide range of activities, supervised by experienced and caring staff, including treaures hunts, arts and crafts, glass bottom boat trips and so much more. 

Babysitting

Baby sitters are avaible on request at an extra cost. Bookings must be made 24 hour prior at the reception or at the mini club.

What will the weather be like...

Mauritius enjoys a typically tropical climate with year-round heat, although the southeast trade winds help it never to feel too muggy. The summer months are from December to April (daytime temps in high 20’s), and the winter, such as it is, runs from May to November (temps 24-27 Celsius), and is cooler and drier.

Rain occurs in all months but the wettest period is in their summer, December to April and tropical cyclones (usually Jan-Feb) could occasionally bring squally rain and winds. The South and South East of the island, being exposed to the southeast tradewinds receive almost twice as much rainfall as the north and north west (La Pointe aux Canonniers is on the North West coast) and especially from November to May is therefore a good location.

The best months to visit Mauritius are probably May to early December with May, September and October offering the best chance of little rain and good temperatures.
