Review of Grosvenor House Dubai

Posted By Hazel Maundrell on 17 June 2014

Combining city chic and a “holiday resort” feel, the Grosvenor House Hotel and Apartments does provide the best of both worlds.  I did not appreciate how iconic the two Towers of the hotel are until I saw them from the water, they tower (which is saying something) above the Dubai Marina offering spectacular views but most importantly shared access (shuttle bus runs regularly) to the beaches and facilities of Le Royal Meridien.

The Grosvenor is the “in place” in Dubai, nestled underneath Tower One is the Buddah Bar and Siddharta converts from the Tower Two swimming pool in to a happening bar of an evening – great for people watching very close by.  There are other bars and clubs throughout the hotel where drinks can be enjoyed.  There is no associated noise.

For families there are one, two and three bedroom apartments located in both towers and as you would expect all fully serviced but your own facilities if you do not feel like utilising the hotels restaurants.  The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the quality and finish of furnishings are definitely five star.

Pricewise it is very good value as not directly on a beach, plus the apartments are perfect for extra space at an inexpensive supplement to the standard rooms.  However, it is very busy – the apartments were at 100% occupancy in the so called low season in June, where usually because of the heat there tends to be more availability – book early!!
