We were lucky enough to stay at this hotel for two nights and shared a family junior suite pool and sea view which has a double bed and then a sliding door to a separate sleeping area with two full single beds and a flat screen TV in each – there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and water and soft drinks in the fridge, the water is replaced daily as part of the all inclusive package.

Plenty of storage space, fluffy bathrobes and slippers, modern bathroom with a shower over the bath and a great night light option, perfect for leaving on during night for the little ones. Only disappointment was that the hairdryer, though well placed was the old style attached to the wall.

room

The hotel has been completely renovated and is very sparkly and new and has an amazing array of facilities. There is a whole wing which is adults only with a separate swim up pool bar so not too much worrying about your little ones disturbing the adults. We did see a lot of weddings which were done beautifully and not intrusive on the other hotel guests at all. The honeymoon rooms were stunning.

The stand out feature of this resort was the children’s club, purpose built and professionally run by qualified staff. Amazingly the crèche and children’s club is free of charge and accepts little ones from 6 months and is open until 11pm at night and we can honestly say it is one of the best equipped and amazingly decorated one we have ever seen.

kids club

Shawn The Sheep clouds in the sleep nursery made us want to curl up in a cot and have a nap!  The Teenz club (aged 12 and up) is payable at currently 6 Euros a day and has a plethora of lap tops, PS4’s and gaming chairs and a whole schedule of activities , perfect spot to meet friends and hang out.  We passed the children’s club at 9pm and they were all snuggled up in bean bags watching a film quite content.

A choice of pools, including an adult only one, a small kids pool complete with a sun canopy and sunbeds for mum and dad, 2 large free form pools and the very popular Mayan temple with its waterslides and lifeguard. Unusually there is lovely indoor pool which is heated in the winter and children can use with adult supervision. The gym facilities looked good and it is open from 7am to 7pm.

Pool

There isn’t a pool waiter service but the pool bar is great and easily accessible. Pool beds are rather compact but we didn’t have any problem finding one and the hotel was full.

Food – large buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner with all the usual suspects and a great variety, plenty of fruit and a children’s station which we kept seeing adults attacking! I would recommend a spot on the outside terrace for dinner, the sunsets are great. There are also two a la carte restaurants a Cypriot Captains Table which you can visit twice a week and a Japanese restaurant which you can visit once.

We tried the Japanese and thoroughly enjoyed our Asian experience – the food was presented with a lot of style and was very tasty. They are also trialling an Italian Fine Dining restaurant which hopefully will continue next year as the menu looked fantastic – again one visit per week.

Families love the Rock n Roll diner, authentically 50’s themed and offering amazing burgers, fries, milkshakes and desserts open for dinner every evening with no restriction on the number of visits.

We did like the Snackeria, perfect if you are a late riser and missed breakfast as it’s open form 10am so you can pop in and big up your morning latte and croissant. Open until 10pm it’s great if you just want to grab something light for lunch round the pool or an early supper for the children. It serves interesting light food, paninis, salads, sandwiches and cakes.  As it is all inclusive the drinks are complimentary all day until 11.30pm and in the name of research we can honestly say that the cocktails were delicious, wine was very drinkable too!

exterior

In the evenings you have a lovely terrace to while away the evening, an adults only bar with a singer most evenings or the spectacular “Experience Arena”. Not for everyone, the hotel has installed a state of the art lighting and sound system to rival the best cruise ships and puts on shows, along the lines of Chicago and Mama Mia 5 nights a week, complete with full waiter service and children are welcome. We were staying on a non show night but everyone we spoke to couldn’t speak highly enough of the professionalism and quality of the productions.

With easy accessibility to the main resort of Paphos with a walk along the sea front there are other things to do outside of the hotel but being all inclusive I would be surprised if anyone went too far.
